Widely applied in industries such as food, medicine, and daily necessities. Vertical load pressure refers to the ability of beverage bottles to withstand the pressure of the upper layer of goods during stacking. Therefore, the top pressure tester is also known as a vertical load pressure tester or a plastic bottle top pressure tester. Simply defined as a pressure testing machine, it can also be classified as a universal testing machine. The top pressure tester is a special name given in the testing industry of special products, which has been listed as a national standard. Generally, in the packaging industry, food testing, PET bottle testing, and some container compression testing, this type of testing machine is called a top pressure tester

The reason for the unqualified vertical pressure index is that the enterprise cut corners and reduced the amount of resin used, resulting in the low weight of the bottle preform in the beverage bottle. Some standards have clear provisions for this indicator. For example, QB/T 1868-2004 "Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) carbonated beverage bottles" stipulates that the vertical pressure index should be ≥ 200N.
